About Audio Mods

Audio Mods is a small workshop outside of Little Rock, Arkansas, dedicated to the art of modifying microphones. Founded and operated by Jake Garrett, the workshop was born out of his years of experience repairing vintage microphones. Jake developed standardized modifications for budget microphones manufactured abroad, transforming them into US-rebuilt, boutique-grade gear at a sensible price.

We take the microphones you already own and rebuild them with premium components and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring they capture the essence and sound of the classics that inspired them.

The process is simple: mail us your microphone and we'll do the work. Every mod is crafted by hand, thoroughly tested, and returned to you studio-ready.
